Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) celebrated the collaboration between USIM and Education Attachés from various embassy offices and High Commissioners in Malaysia by bringing them together in an evening reception held at Cyberview Resort & Spa, Cyberjaya provided an opportunity for fruitful discussions on educational initiatives, cultural exchanges, and collaborative projects.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of USIM, YBhg Prof Dato’ Ts Dr. Sharifudin Md Shaarani, he stated that this event is a traditional occasion for USIM in an effort to appreciate the cooperation and collaboration that has been established between USIM and foreign countries.
“The Education Attaché representing the embassy and High Commissioner actually serves as an intermediary between USIM and their respective countries, enabling USIM to enhance its potential and expertise through collaborative efforts in research, visiting professor programs, mobility initiatives such as student exchanges, industrial training, summer camps, and other academic and non-academic activities,” he said.
“In addition, the Infaq Mobility Program Fund was also officially inaugurated in an effort to raise funds that will support USIM students in providing opportunities for them to go abroad for outbound mobility programs such as international industrial training, student exchange programs, attending symposiums, international seminars, and so forth.
The event was also attended by the newly appointed Chairman of the University Board of Directors (LPU), Tan Sri Dr. Nik Norzrul Thani Nik Hassan Thani, who observed that this meeting could serve as a platform for USIM to explore new collaborations with all the esteemed guests by highlighting USIM’s expertise and strengths.
During this event, there were 8 representatives from countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Russia, Thailand, Palestine, the United Kingdom, and Jordan. Additionally, USIM also celebrated the contributions of the International Higher Education Division (BPPT), the International Relations Division (BHA), and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), which have significantly supported international-scale programs with USIM.”
The event marked a significant milestone in fostering partnerships between USIM and diplomatic representatives, creating a platform for meaningful exchanges and mutual understanding as USIM continues to strengthen its global network, such engagements play a crucial role in promoting international cooperation in the field of education. The event not only highlighted the importance of collaboration but also showcased the commitment of USIM to creating a diverse and enriching academic environment.
