<p style="margin-left:5.5pt">The Master of Applied Oral Sciences (MAOSc) programme will produce graduate who are:</p><ul><li>Knowledgeable to manage oral health problems by integrating the acquired and revealed knowledge.</li><li>Capable to think critically and solve dental problems effectively.</li><li>Competent to perform procedures with good communication, leadership and teamwork skills in improving oral health of patients and community through the use of digital technologies and numeracy skills.</li><li>Proficient to improve personal and entrepreneurial skills for continuous self-development.</li><li>Professionally and ethically responsible in provision of dental treatment in-line with syariah and Islamic conduct.</li></ul>


<p style="margin-left:5.5pt">A 1-year pre-requisite for a 3-year (1 + 3 year) specialist programme</p><ul><li>Academician and clinician in government and private universities.</li><li>Clinical specialists (Orthodontist and Restorative Dentistry Specialist) in Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defense.</li><li>Clinical Specialists (Orthodontist and Restorative Dentistry Specialist) in private sector.</li></ul>
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS); or Doctor of Dental Surgery; or other dentistry equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council.
  • Registered with the Malaysian Dental Council (MDC) and holds current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) or registered with the dental regulatory body in another country and eligible to be granted a Temporary Practising Certificate (TPC) by MDC.
  • Health and other requirements as required by HEP.
