All future candidates who wish to study in USIM must apply for Visa Approval Letter (VAL). You should not come to USIM to register without getting the VAL first. If you come to USIM by using Visitor VISA, you may wish to get some information and meeting people but the registration as postgraduate/undergraduate programmes under normal standard operating procedure cannot be done.

Once you receive the Letter of Offer, you must settle the one time Student Pass processing fee as in the following:

  1. Rates are subject to change.
  2. All charges above are inclusive of EMGS Processing Fee, Insurance, i-Card, Pass/sticker (for 1 and 2 Year Student Pass ONLY), Stamp Duty and 6% GST.
  3. Students HAVE TO ensure that their Single Entry Visa (SEV) is valid for at least 20 days when they register in USIM. This is to give sufficient time for medical check-up in USIM and for application of the Student Pass (also known as Multi Entry Visa)
  4. Insufficient time to process the Student Pass may require students to apply for a Special Pass (which is an extension of the SEV). A charge of RM160 will be imposed for the Special Pass.
  5. Methods for visa processing fee payment must be made through one of the payment method in the table below.
  6. For those who not fulfilled the English Language Proficiency may sit University English Proficiency Test (UEPT) on January 2016. The candidates are advised to arrive early to 2 days before the examination.

Please be informed that you have to send the document during Visa Approval Letter (VAL) application through relevance department (Center for Graduate Studies/ Divison of Academic Management/ Preparatory Programme for International Student) before the visa approval letter is released from the Malaysian Department of Immigrations. The documents as a follows:

i)        Full pages of medical report USIM form

ii)       Full pages of passport (validity of passport should be ONE year and THREE months)

iii)     4 Copy of  passport sized photo WHITE background photographs 45mm (high) x35mm (wide)  and email a softcopy to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by mentioning your passport no and name. (Example passport sized white background)

iv)     Proof of Payment (Official Receipt of payment)

v)     One year (1) copy of receipt paid to USIM Bendahari for insurance fee of RM 450 for one year.

        NOTE: - Sponsored students: One copy of valid insurance statement from the insurance company if paid by the sponsor.

 If the application is successful, EMGS will pass Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to UA and subsequently relevant department (Center for Graduate Studies/ Division of Academic Management/ Preparatory Programme for International Student) will email it to you.

You must bring the VAL to the nearest Malaysian Embassy/High Commissions/Consulate to receive a Single Entry Visa or Journey Perform (JP).  With that Single Entry Visa, you are to proceed to Malaysia and:

  1. Register your for program of study at Center for Graduate Studies http://cgs.usim.edu.my/en  (GPS :2.841017, 101.778377)
  2. Do a medical check-up at USIM Health Center (GPS : 2.846509, 101.780974). Fee is below:
