USIM’s ‘Alamiyyah successfully organized a trip for international students to Kampung Alor Terengganu, enabling them to come together and celebrate Eid al-Adha.

18 international students from USIM, hailing from countries such as Brunei, Indonesia, Palestine, Nigeria, Pakistan, Yemen, and others, had the opportunity to celebrate Eid al-Adha and immerse themselves in the warmth of Kampung Alor. The students became part of the local community, engaging in various activities including the traditional ritual of slaughtering, hiking to Bukit Keluang, visiting Taman Tamadun Islam, enjoying a barbeque, and many more.

Nabila, a student from Indonesia, expressed that celebrating Eid al-Adha in Malaysia for the first time has been an unforgettable experience that will always hold a special place in her heart.

Moreover, Shehab, a Palestinian student, showcased his butchering skills and eagerly offered assistance to the villagers during the slaughtering process. He expressed his sense of connection to this practice and his joy at being a part of the program. His active involvement exemplifies the spirit of unity and cultural exchange that the program strives to foster.

This initiative is an integral part of USIM’s ‘Alamiyyah program, which is aim to prioritize the wellbeing of international students and foster a sense of belonging, making USIM and Malaysia feel like a second home to them.
