On the morning of 28th May, USIM ALAMIYYAH hosted “A Joyous Celebration and Meet & Greet” in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, specially for international staff and students of USIM who remained on campus during the festive season. Held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the event offered a warm and welcoming space for everyone to celebrate together.
Filled with cheerful greetings, traditional attire, and meaningful conversations, the event beautifully captured the spirit of “kan kita keluarga” — we are family.
Performances by the Global Buddies added color and vibrancy to the day, creating opportunities for cultural exchange and strengthening the bond between local and international communities. “It wasn’t just about celebrating Raya,” said one student, “but about unity, connection, and learning from one another.”
In a touching moment, INSAN (International Student Association of USIM) led a reflection in solidarity with Palestine, reminding all that while we celebrate here, we continue to stand with those facing hardship. “We carry them in our hearts and prayers,” an INSAN representative shared.
This Raya celebration was more than just a festive gathering — it was a reminder of the beauty of togetherness, understanding, and shared humanity.
“INSAN: Together, Unite All Nations.”
